The Era of Fuel Injection has arrived. Year after year, more bikes are becoming equipped with fuel injection systems. Dynojet has invested into the future and offers the revolutionary Power Commander for many bikes.
Although the Power Commander is supplied with maps for many popular applications there is a need for regional tuning centres, which can optimise the fuel and ignition curves for local customers as well as develop new maps for specific combinations. This is especially true in New Zealand where our petrol is very different from the rest of the world and our bikes require different set ups to optimise their performance.
- To Qualify as a Tuning Centre, City Motorcycles Nelson had to purchase a Dynojet Load-Control Dynamometer with Dynojet real-time Air/Fuel Ratio Module.
- Our technicians are also trained and complete a comprehensive Fuel Injection and Power Commander School at Dynojet.
Why Dyno Jet?
People are often amazed how poorly todays fuel injected bikes run.
The Reasons for this are quite simple.
1. Manufacturers do not tune the bikes to run as good as they would like as they are forced to run engines leaner than ideal by noise and emissions regulations determined by the various tests that the bikes have to pass in Europe and the USA.
2. New Zealand fuel is different to any other fuel in the world with different density and burn characteristics, so the bikes set up to run in the USA or Europe will not run properly here.Especially when they are set up not to run perfectly but to pass emission tests
3. Owners often fit after market exhaust systems and air filters, further changing the air flow thru the engine and altering its fuel needs. This often makes bike perform poorly surging popping and backfireing and generally not being as great to ride as the bike could and should be. All of the above is why you should have a custom mapped power commander on your bike
