Lester Ferdinand

Lester is a trade certificate qualified motorcycle mechanic, with over 30 years experience in NZ & Australia as a motorcycle mechanic. He has also worked in Australia as a service manager for a prominent chain of motorcycle shops. His extensive performance tuning experience includes many years on both 2 & 4 stroke motorcycles. He has been working with Karel Pavich and KP Racing as race team mechanic for 15 years and was a speedway racer himself in his earlier days. Lester also has considerable engineering experience, bringing a real "can do" attitude to his work. His overall knowledge of motorcycles brings a lot of depth to the City Motorcycles Nelson workshop.

Jason Howcroft

Sales Manager / Partner

Motorcycles have always been a part of Jasons life and he has spent over 20yrs in the Motorcycle Industry both in Auckland and for the last 8 years in Nelson. His many and varied roles include sales, customer service, product design & development. Jason is a Road Racer & Vintage MX competitor and also keen mountain bike rider.
If you need a part for your bike we will find it for you and if it just cannot be found we will find someone who can make a replacement item.

Karel Pavich

Karel has been riding motorcycles since she was 15 yrs old and has spent most of her life "following her passion". She began road racing in 1988, and then resumed again in 2001 after retiring for several years. It was in 2006 that Karel made history in NZ by becoming the first woman to win a solo road racing title. She also competes in Post Classic racing and Vintage MX. Karel has much experience in Sales & Marketing and whilst she is not working in City Motorcycles Nelson on a daily basis, (except Sat) she will be assisting in Marketing and Promotions of the business.
Karel is also an NZTA approved Motorcycle riding instructor offering a range of motorcycle rider training courses.
